Simone Moy

Stadium Jumping / Dressage Trainer

Simone is a licensed all-around trainer through the KNHS in the Netherlands. Born and raised in the Netherlands Simone grew up in a horse family and started riding at 3 years old, and turned her passion into her life’s work. She successfully competed up to 3rd level dressage and 1.30m showjumping. After the unfortunate passing of her beloved show horse, Simone decided to focus on the training of young horses, and passing along her passion for the sport to other riders through her lessons.

Simone’s European style of training and background in dressage carries over into her jumping lessons. Simone’s instruction is focused on creating an encouraging environment to develop well rounded riders, which starts with establishing a good foundation for both the horse and rider. This includes training horses to carry themselves in a bio mechanically correct frame from a point of relaxation. For the riders this focuses on developing an independent seat and adjustable riding style that is responsive to the needs of the horse. Simone takes great care to consider not only the horse and rider, but how they will work best together. She brings jumping lessons to a new level through her cross-training approach.

Simone’s passion for the sport and horses is contagious; and under her guidance riders and horses can expand their horizons

Alicia started riding at 6 years old, under USEA hall of fame trainer Yves Sauvignon. At 22, she diversified her training by working with world champion reining trainers and natural horsemanship coaches, as well as other 5* eventers. This diverse education helped her become the trainer she is today. In 2009 she opened her own riding school and training program. Her training style combines classical methods with modern techniques, with a strong emphasis on proper horsemanship and care. She encourages riders to understand their horses, the bio-mechanics of riding and set goals. Together they make a tailored plan for each individual horse and rider, to meet those goals, in a supportive and fun atmosphere along side the entire ASE team
